@agedhorse I have noise coming specifically from the DI output on my Subway 800+ (bought new in ‘21). I played a show this week where we noticed it. The sound guy used his DI (parallel output into the 800+ input) and the noise was gone. Do you have an idea what the problem could be? Thanks!

I just got the rc5, and the sound quality is much better than the rc1. No pop on loop end. MIDI in from my drum machine (with the Boss cable) keeps everything on the one, which is what I needed.

I usually play the D string with my right ring finger (E index, A middle). I alternate sometimes, but that’s my main technique. I had to raise the D string some to prevent noise due to the way the ring finger plucks, but the style has gotten me this far!

My action is higher now because of the rock band I’m in. I play a ‘98 Fender American Deluxe Precision allows for any tone in any style, and my action is usually lower to accommodate different styles. That simply doesn’t work with this band. I’m considering getting a different, cheaper bass...
