New Peavey Minimega and Headliner 410 hum

Ok. so I double checked everything last night. I moved the amp and head to several outlets in my apartment last night....I used three different chords...2 20ft and 1 10 ft. All the results were the same.... Amp/head plugged in...no hum Amp/Head with cable plugged in to front input jack...

New Peavey Minimega and Headliner 410 hum

I tried it with another cable and it does the exact same thing… I was actually wrong though… With the Humno or without it, touching either the input jack or the disconnected Jack metal sleeve will stop the humming

New Peavey Minimega and Headliner 410 hum

1). Yes… As soon as I plug a cord in, it starts to hum, but it doesn’t hum when there’s no cord into the input Jack. And as you ask cord connected to no instrument. 2). Yes… I can stop the home by touching the metal input jack of the disconnected side. 3). No… Touching the metal shell At the...

New Peavey Minimega and Headliner 410 hum

Question: Just purchased a Peavey minimega and headliner 410 cabinet. Love they way is sounds but the problem is the hum. I have a terrible hum when the Amp is plugged in and it's really bad once I plug my sansamp into it. I unplugged the sansamp and the bass (Fender P bass passive ) and...

sansamp connection to Peavey minimega head

Thanks for all of the input. I played with it this week and I like the sound better running it between the bass and the front of my amp instead of the fx loop but I can't seem to get rid of the hissing from my amp. I tried a humno but that didn't seem to change anything. Always something...

sansamp connection to Peavey minimega head

Quick question: Should I input my sansamp into the front input jack of this head or into the back FX loop return. I heard mixed responses. Just curious. I really like the tone of my new Minimega head being run through a Peavey headliner 410 but will use the Sansamp to fine tune the sound...

Mike Dirnt 59 pickups - low output??

Same. My Fender Joe Dirnt model (2007) sounds great but the out is definitely lower than my squire jaguar with active pickups. Need to really turn my amp up when using it.

    Pedal order

Thinking about running a Cali 76 with a Sansamp 21. Do you think a compression pedal is necessary with the sansamp? Definity new to pedals and learning a lot. Probably running Boss TU3 and DROP tune pedal as well. Any suggestions appreciated with pedal order or other suggestions as well...

    Fender Mike Dirnt neck

I just purchased one last week and I love the neck. Mine is a Mexican built on from 2007 in perfect shape with a rosewood fretboard. The neck is a chunky C but I feel it's really fast. I am really liking this bass.

Ampeg Venture V7 or Fender Rumble 800

Thanks for all the input. I think after my research I am getting the Ampeg V7. Now, as for Ampeg cabinets.....How is running this through a 410 sound vs. running it through a 212? I know I can add to either of these in the future but not sure which one would be best for what I need playing...

Ampeg Venture V7 or Fender Rumble 800

Not able to try both.... Only the fender but I love the sound of the Ampeg SVT I played through before. I am open to others. I just liked the price, power, and features of these. Definity open to others.
