What kind of finish does not darken the light brown grain? I used a wenge fretboard last year and after I put teak oil on it, it almost looks like ebony from 5 feet away. You can still see the grain if you look closely.

Wenge is also known as African splinter wood.

I ordered both ebony boards from LMI with a 10" radius and I plan on sanding them to 9.5 with a radius block. I like 9.5 radius.
