Just a quick update. In the unlikely event anyone else needs to source one of these they are Alps SPUN 191400 avaliable from mouser.

It may well not be the switches but replacing these will confirm one way or the other. It is clear that your design has stood the test of time and that these amps are still in regular use by many of us confirm this. I appreciate you taking the time to respond and genuinely value your comments.

Never had the footswitch tbh. With the signal shape switch in the out position works fine, in the in position cuts the output. "Jiggle" the switch sound will come back. I have continuity tested the 2 failed switch and confirmed. I am certainly no expert but do have a reasonable understanding...
