    Labella Flatwounds 760fs and 760fm?

I don't know if they normally require a break in period but I will say my 760FLs sounded better as time went on...after a year I really liked the sound and loved the feel. However, D broke and I kind of wanted to try something heavier. I just put some 760FMs on and they definitely have more...

    WHats the difference..flats vs. rounds?

I use flats and rounds and I don't find a problem with the tension on certain flats in comparison. I used la bella 760FL for a long time with no problem at all. I just started using 760FM and they definitely have more tension but it is manageable IMO. The 760FM give me the tone I really like...

La Bella Deep Talkin': Best. Strings. Ever.

I just went ahead and ordered from them again. That's where I have been ordering my la bella strings for a while but thought I would see if there were better prices out there. I guess for those strings there really isn't. I ordered some la bella nylon tapewound 760N for my acoustic bass from...

La Bella Deep Talkin': Best. Strings. Ever.

love la bella flats! my D string just broke on my 760FL set so it is a good excuse to change to the 760FM set :) only bummer is that it takes a little while for these strings to break in and the set on there was already done and sounding sweet, have to start over with the new set I have to...

labella vs ghs tapewound for ABG

That is for the 760RM. I can get those for $17.50 plus shipping. I'm looking at the 760N. P.S. I hate going to the carvin site, it just reminds me how much I want a carvin electric bass, I love the BB70P, can't afford it :(

labella vs ghs tapewound for ABG

I can get the la bella strings for $30 plus shipping online which isn't bad. I don't know where to buy the ghs but I saw a link somewhere and they were like $24 plus shipping so not a big difference on the price. Thanks for the reply, I will be using these on a fender kingman acoustic bass...

labella vs ghs tapewound for ABG

I just got a fender kingman acoustic bass and the stock strings are not going to cut it for me. I use 760FL LaBella Deep Talkin' Bass Flatwounds on my electric and they are great. I'm thinking I should either get the GHS 3060 black nylon tapewound or the labella 760n black nylon tapewound...

new - left hand technique question

Wow, nice video, holding the bass like that is what feels comfortable to me, notice how when he is sitting it is between is legs, that's what I do as well...seems to go hand in hand if you like the bass more vertical. I notice his thumb on the back of the neck is more vertical too so apparently...

new - left hand technique question

I have it pretty high, body of the bass sits over my stomach pretty much, when sitting I actually put it between my legs instead of off to the side or resting on my right leg.

new - left hand technique question

gawd, what do you mean, how high do I where the bass? cannabass, talking fingers, 1-2-4 index middle pinky, 1-2-3-4 index middle ring pinky (per fret), as gawd said, it seems a lot teaching is 1-2-4 towards the neck and switch to 1-2-3-4 (one finger per fret) towards the bridge
