I modded one years ago too . Audere pre , Hipshot B style bridge from Carvin , roller string trees . I loved the stock pickups so I left them in . Loved that bass .

I had one exactly like yours I bought when I joined a blues band many years ago . I sold it to my guitar player and he still has it , loves it .

They sell poly batting at most Walmarts in the fabric section . Not too expensive and easy to work with . Fiberglass is very itchy and rockwool is even worse . As an electrician I crawled through many an attic and ingested quite a bit of glass fibers I stirred up . I also had to work with...

My brother and I went to a Volvo dealer to look at that hatchback model back in the day . They looked great but were too expensive for me . It did fall into the my bass amp would fit into the back criteria that I judged my vehicles by but I was a young man of limited resources . Very cool car...

All 4 . Not gigging but play with my buddies a couple times a month and rotate between . I'd gig any of them , even the 4 string .

A couple comments . One poster said the Cerwin Vega B-48 had two 18's . It only had one but was pretty killer . Acoustic , Peavey , Fender and Kustom all had the same style cabinets as the Cerwin Vegas and I think all had the Vega speakers . Altec did have folded horns but they were rear loaded...

I recently got a Sterling by Music man Stingray 5 HH and was suprised by all the usable coil switching and usable sounds . It only has a 2 band EQ but it checks most of your boxes except it's a five string . The US made Stingray 5 HH has a 3 band EQ and might be an option but mine is a very fine...

I've tried to like P-basses but the tone just doesn't do it for me . I had a really nice VM P-bass 5 but let it go years ago . Last year I got one of the Amazon Debut Squiers and put Geezer pickups in it . Again , a nice P-bass but sold it to my guitar player buddy .
