I just picked up my first frettless, its a ric Im having trouble getting info on the rics. does any one know anything about them.

I picked up an 81 ric 4003 for $500 back in the 80s still have it, thought that was a good deal. I think I just made another this week but having trouble getting info on it. I think its a 87? its another 4003 ric but this one is frettless. I bought it for $1300 should be in thur. If any one has...

is it poss for the rics to have just a leter and number on the jack plate and no other numbers?

looking at a frettless ric but its a 1000 miles away, I did play it a week ago but did not look at id #. I called and the store told me it has 0I on the jack plate. is this sep of 87? with no numbers.:help:
