I'm considering buying a 5 String short scale bass with a B string. I'm not sure this even exists, and if so, how it would sound. Any recommendations?

I have a 1x12 Markbass that I use for small/medium indoor gigs, but I wanted some thing small for my practice studio. Is there a specific 1x10 that you think I should consider?

Tried em'. They're on the axe right now. Not bad, but still I still needed to foam mute, and then they sounded too muddy. I might try some more compression/EQ stuff before I give up on them.
