Band in Box vs. Tascam Bass Trainer

I have the Tascam and it is a great device. In addition to its main function, it contains a metronome, tuner, special effects (I haven't even begun to explore these), - and it serves as a great headphone amp. Put your mp3 files on it and you can practice your bass anywhere. Check out the...

    Inexpensive bass guitar

Isn't that a "short scale" bass ? My present bass is a Fender Jazz bass (made in Mexico, 2007, I think). Would switching off to a short scale bass pose any problems ? Bob

Check this out. http://www.how-to-play-bass.com/ If you take the "Protege" lessons you can get video feedback. I really enjoy these lessons. There is also "MarloweDK" whose site is playbassnow.com. He advertises live lessons (via video hookup). Bob

    Unsolicited testimonial

I can heartily recommend the lessons given by Paul Wolfe at http://www.how-to-play-bass.com/ He has a weekly Ezine, some materials for sale, and a formal lesson program that features pdf and video files, and real feedback from Paul (I'll let him tell you how he does it). I'm hooked...
