Took a while to get here, but finally got the axcelerator body! And while waiting for it to get here I found a dirt cheap millenium BXP that I scavenged the neck from. Heel width was good, but end of heel is curved and end of pocket is flat. Leaves an unsightly gap and puts the 12th fret a bit...

Unfortunately it was an online guitar shop that buys and resells loaded bodies

Guitar center has an old millenium BXP pretty cheap. Just under 200 after tax and shipping. Right number of frets. Figure I could make the neck fit the axcelerator and then make the ibanez neck fit the millenium and then not only have the axcelerator together but have a frankenstein "jazz bass"...

I found what I think was a good deal on a loaded axcelerator 4 body, can't wait for it to get here. I'm obviously finding it difficult to find a factory neck for it. What do you guys think, try to be patient and keep looking. Or get a neck and make it fit? Either by shaving down the sides...

It's so weird. I don't know if I'll ever get to put it together. But somehow I'm still extremely excited about having it even if I never get to play it. But OBVIOUSLY I want to hehe

Does anyone know if any other necks are direct bolt ons? I found a loaded body on reverb and made an offer on it. Guy accepted and it ships out monday. I'm really excited about it, even if it takes me a long time to get it put together. But, OBVIOUSLY, the sooner I can get it put back...

I had one for two weeks. Wound up sending it back because a couple frets started lifting. Up until that point, I absolutely loved it and couldn't find a thing on it that I would have changed.

excellent advice. I did wind up getting them, and after doing some work on the forum I REALLY fell for it. I wound up buying a dimarzio P to go with the J I already had, installed them and absolutely love it!

It's weird, I've heard great things about the Geezers too. But I did some work on the forum. Leveled and recrowned the frets. Adjusted the neck angle, adjusted the neck relief, pickup height, string height at the bridge and one string at the nut. Turned into THE best playing bass I've ever...
