NPD "New" Peavey Day

Took a while to get here, but finally got the axcelerator body! And while waiting for it to get here I found a dirt cheap millenium BXP that I scavenged the neck from. Heel width was good, but end of heel is curved and end of pocket is flat. Leaves an unsightly gap and puts the 12th fret a bit off center between the nut and the middle of the saddles' travel. Taking a 1/4 inch off of the heel (basically just squaring it off) will allow the neck to sit deeply enough in the pocket to put the 12th fret right where I want it.
But, here's a one screw mockup teaser shot to share my excitement!!!

looks like you could end up with a real player --- and a good looking one at that --- very cool! 👍 congrats on your new, soon-to-be peavey!

I actually had thought about a fretless 4 string. I have my Carvin LB76 fretless, but a bike wreck left my shoulder jacked up enough that I can't play a six string anymore.
Wonder if I could find an aftermarket fretless neck that could be made to fit reasonably easily. Or if I'd be better off getting an actual millenium neck and defretting it

i'm picky about necks: i'd get a neck that fits your prefs (e.g., a neck that's skinny enough, no chunks = but that's just me!).

get one (whether you defret or not) that you like to play. if you like the millennium necks, that might be the ticket! ;)
