Epiphone Thunderbird Pro-V after 2 years Review.

I purchased a Pro V about two weeks ago. Zzzounds had a new vintage sunburst for $379 for a short period. Of course, I jumped on it and it is a LOT of bass for the price!

    Monkees ?

Speaking of the Monkees, can anyone ID the bass that Davy Jones is "playing" on Pleasant Valley Sunday? http://http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sUzs5dlLrm0

Worst lowball you've ever been dealt?

Just sold a bass on CL. A guy gave me a ridiculously lowball offer stating that he bought instruments for underpriviledged kids. I told him I'd consider his offer if he could give me the taxpayer ID number of the non-profit he works with. Never heard from him again.

    Thunderbird or Blackbird?

I'd go with a Thunderbird Pro IV. It's an active bass and can be had for the same price now.

    Mike Davis: Some Fine Memories

The video on YouTube of MC5 doing "Looking at You" in 1970 at Wayne State University is probably one of the greatest rock and roll performances put to film ever. That is how I will remember Mike.

    Peavey Fury Bass

I have a really nice white with black pickguard '80 Fury that I picked up on CL for $100. I also have a '84 Patriot with a Super Ferrite that is awesome too. Well made basses for sure and a bargain at the price they go for. Does anyone know if Seymour Duncan quarter pounders fit without any...

How to Sell your Bass FAST

The thing that bugs me the most are the many sellers on Ebay who list basses as "NEW." They may be in great condition and lightly played, but they are not "NEW"! They are used. Ebay describes a "NEW" item as "a brand-new, unused, unopened, undamaged item in its original packaging (where...

Do you still have your very first bass?

Yes, still have my 1979 Musicman Stingray which was purchased in 1981.

    I Want this bass

If I ever started a surf music band ala Los Straightjackets where we all dressed like Batman (Los Hombres Murcielagos), that would be the bass I would use!

    Peavey T-40

Just got one a '79 with original case a couple of weeks ago for $200 at the Guitar Center's website from a store outside of Philly. A couple of small dings on the body, but otherwise, it's a beauty.
