Just your standard "410HLF or 410HE?" Thread.

This is great, thank you! I had no idea the 410he was that close in tuning to the 610. I thought going with an HE would be a much bigger jump in sound than what it seems to be. Hopefully my combo will find a home soon and I can slap some money on a barrel real soon. Thanks again! Still...

I'm also selling my Schecter Stiletto Custom 6. PM me if interested, selling locally in Sydney.

Hi guys, I've been using a Fender Bassman 100 combo (Not a rumble. This one has a tweeter) for rehearsal/small gigs for a few years now, and I'm looking to sell it in favour of a 410 ampeg cab that I can use with my Orange TB500. For gigs, I have been using the Orange TB500 with an Ampeg...

    Just a question about casters...

I have recently splashed out on an Ampeg 610hlf. Sounds sweet, super stoked with it and I'm running an Orange TB500 with it along with a 60th anniversary American jazz. This is my first head/cab setup and it's also my first interaction with casters. The 610 has two on the back that touch the...

    Epifani UL2 610 & Cover

If shipping to Sydney were practical I'd be all over this.

Looking to buy my very first head & cab.

Thanks for all your help guys. I'm definitely keeping my options open, which is why I'm now looking at the tb500. I've also had a look at a few other things - there's an Eden roadrunner (600?) for sale for 1400ish. Sounds nice, but I'm still looking. I also just want to clarify that me keeping...

Looking to buy my very first head & cab.

I appreciate this. There's nothing I play on the E string with the Octave on, because of the boominess. Anything lower than a B is impossibly loud so I try to avoid it anyway.

Looking to buy my very first head & cab.

That's good. One other thing, because I don't kbow much about the different ways of connection. If I connected the terror to a cab speakon to speakon, is there a difference in output to if I connect it speakon to 1/4? Say, a much louder output that could damage the speaker or amp? I would want...

Looking to buy my very first head & cab.

update: I'm now also looking at an orange tb500. Found one for 695, considering buying it and running it through an ampeg 410. The terror output is speakon apparently. Is that ever a problem with cabs that only have 1/4 jacks? Can you get cables with 1/4 one end, speaker on the other?

    Jazz Bass With MM Pickups

Bumping for interest, as I plan to do the same thing. Although I've been told to have a look for DiMarzio humbuckers that are the same size & shape as J pickups, so you might want to give that a try. I want to change to humbuckers to get tones more like that of Liam Wilson/Tim Commerford/dare...

Bass players with bear identical rigs?

Well those are two obvious recurring pieces of equipment. I'm talking effects as well. Not every bass player uses them, but plenty do, that's where I want to see if there is any similarity.

Bass players with bear identical rigs?

    *sigh*, NEAR identical.

Bass players with bear identical rigs?

I thought this might be a good point of discussion. Any bass players with near identical amp/pedal/bass etc combinations? Leave them here. Be mindful that this isn't just a question about bass players with similar sounds, as that's a question I could answer myself, but rather, I am interested to...

    Music Man sound and pickups

Awesome, I'm looking into those now. Not nearly the price I was expecting which is good! Could you also explain to me the process of actually replacing pickups that are perhaps different sizes/shapes? I understand the j retro preamp is shaped to fit a jazz, but the humbuckers I'm looking at are...
