    Pbass with a Jazz Neck

Thanks guys, great looking basses. Rat Blitz, love the tort on red combo. Dark Horse, digging the blocks and binding. The jazz neck I'm using is from a MIJ 75 RI, so white blocks and binding on maple, ideally I'd like a nice vintage white Pbass body and I'm thinking an anodized pickguard.

    Pbass with a Jazz Neck

I don't have any specific questions, I was hoping the exercise would be pretty straight forward so this was more about if I had missed something obvious. Well, that and an excuse for others to post their endeavours in this area and somewhere to post mine if/when I get there! I was hoping that...

    Pbass with a Jazz Neck

Hi All, I've just posted an ad on a local muso forum here in Melbourne looking for someone who would want to trade their MIJ PBass body for a MIJ Fender 75 RI Jazz body. I have two Jazz basses and I would like a Pbass, but prefer the Jazz neck profile. Are there any TBer's out there that...

    A night with Victor Wooten...

Hey Clefface, First part of the night was Victor playing, then he opened up for questions and the evening was very interactive. He got one guy up and playing his bass to demonstrate his theory on ignoring the bass in order to free your self to play music, it was really cool. There was...

    A night with Victor Wooten...

Hey All, Khaled, Egypt? Hey you never know your luck in a big city... Clefface, I found out about the clinic through the website of my local bass shop, (www.basscentre.com.au) it was organised by a company called Thump Music with whom Mark Puric is associated. As for lessons learned...

    A night with Victor Wooten...

Spent last night at the Victor Wooten bass clinic in Melbourne; any other TBr's there or, at any of the other Australian events? Care to share your thoughts? I found him to be an incredibly humble and inspirational person, I learnt allot and to my surprise, not just about playing bass…...

A game of Pin the Head on the Cab anyone?

Hey Sten, Yep, I'm trying everything I possibly can in my price range, made the mistake of rushing into upgrading my bass and bought the wrong one. Ended up having to sell it on to buy my MIA Jazz, which I'm loving BTW. I've noticed that MarkBass cabs don't et much love on TB, but don't...

A game of Pin the Head on the Cab anyone?

Thanks for that JimmyM, makes sense, the smaller MarkBass cabs I tried didn't do it for me and the 104HF is nice and deep...

A game of Pin the Head on the Cab anyone?

Okay, thanks to all that have responded so far, responses: totallybacan - the Gallien Krueger Fusion 550 you say! Cheers, I will give it a test this weekend. Oh! Scratch that, just looked up the price in Australia, about a grand out of my reach! MIJ-VI – I live in Melbourne, Australia...

A game of Pin the Head on the Cab anyone?

Hi MIJ-VI, I have played MarkBass Amps, but a MarkBass with a valve pre amp is out of my price range (by about a grand!) and I found that the Little Mark II & III sound too clean. Cheers for the input.

A game of Pin the Head on the Cab anyone?

Hello All (or at least all who are reading this), I'm looking to buy a new amp on a budget of around AU$1,200 to go with the gear pictured below, i.e. MIA Standard Jazz and MarkBass 104HF 8 ohm, and thought I would tap into the collective experiences of you all before I part with the cash...

    Pick my P-bass color!!!

I know this exmaple is a Jazz, but:http://www.smokingguitar.com/img/vintagejazzfender.jpg Hope the link worked :hmm: I have always liked the combination of the tort pick guard with an off white/cream colour. This comes across a bit yellow, but I think it still works.
