I have a question, does Ernie Ball still do the Matt black pickguards and if not, when did they stop? I have a 2001 SR4 I bought new and I'm about to trade a 79 Pbass for a 30th ann. SR4, I love the vintage vibe of the Pbass, too bad I just don't like playing it that much.

Sweet neck on that one, Micolao. They don't come like that very often anymore.

Almost a shame to slap a rosewood board on top of something like that.

Got my first Stingray in 1992, a 2eq Translucent green/maple. Sold it because I missed the ability to tweak the "mids", so I got myself a great 2006 3eq Honey/maple with black PG, and installed a a Hipshot D-tuner to finish it off. I play in a Rock coverband (Bon Jovi/ Golden Earring/ B. Adams/ RHCP/ etc) and the Stingray (incl the 3eq) does the job very well.
