i wouldnt reccomend you get another small cab, like your eden. i would suggest you get either a bass 4x12 or a 4x10. GK makes some good stuff however i have found that carvin offers great quality for not too much money, i have the brx10.4NEO and it will smack you with the amount of lows it can...

having no tweeter would be making you sacrifice crisp highs and more defined mids, im not sure why they wouldnt put one in an 8x10, considering the low end they typicaly throw.

if you are looking for more highs in your sound i would reccomend setting your rig up to suit extra mids and highs, what are you currently useing for an amp/cab setup?

have you checked out the wireing to see if any of the solder on the pots is loose or not connected?

i play with aLOT of mids in my bass, to give my self a very defined bass tone, i cant really tell you how to EQ your rig, how big is the house PA for this venue?

i think its silly to have a pick guard in general, unless there to cover pots, like on a typical standard fender.

i have owned different schecter basses. i currently have a schecter stilletto extreame 4 and a schecter raiden special 5. i truely love schecter basses and i would highly reccomend them.
