Pbass pickups arent working?

Do you know how to use a multi-meter? If so, disconnect the white wire coming off the pickup to the controls. Put your multi-meter on it and the black wire coming off the pickup from the other side where it's soldered onto the casing of the potentiometer. Depending on how the pickup is wound, it should read somewhere between 8kohms and 12kohms DC resistance, give or take. If it reads way too low, as in 4 to 5 kohms, or way too high, approaching infinity, or continuously wobbles and won't settle down to a single reading, then the pickup is probably bad.

If the pickup reads in range, then it's time to check the components one by one by unsoldering the "hot" side of each one. If it's a 250 kohm pot, then the outside lugs should read 250 kohms +/- 20%, and the wiper should vary between zero and maximum value smoothly.
