    Wenge necks

Warmoth doesn't seal or treat wenge necks in any way - they just sand them down.

    Unbelievable! Jay Turser JTB-401

My standard solution to neck dive is to simply relocate strap button on the 'butt end' of the bass higher - works like a charm, doesn't add to the weight of the bass, doesn't cost anything and takes 5 mins to do.

    Carvin Amps...Any good?

I gigged a lot with R1000, and had no problems. Nowdays I use a Roland Combo (400W) for stage volume and then into a PA, but keep R1000 as a hot spare.

    What to play for Military?

Thanks for all the suggestions guys. Guess we got lucky, last night we auditioned and took on a really good female vocalist (doesn't hurt that she is 25, pretty, and has long, natural red hair). We picked a set list (about 80% from your suggestions). Basically, we substituted in few places -...

    What to play for Military?

We just landed a gig to play at the local (Kuwait) military base for their Christmas bash. We are talking 2,000 soldiers (18 to 22) and officers, majority of whom are 25-35. They will be able to dance or sit around, and we are told that it will be a good male/female ratio. I am sure some of...

    Stick Shift or Automatic?

I've been driving for a long time. My first 10 cars were all with manual transmission, not because of cost but because that's how I learned to drive, and I simply enjoyed shifting and getting it right. After that, traffic became a real hassle, so I switched to automatics. My current car (Audi...
