Wenge necks

Are there any basses out there with wenge necks and maple fretboards????
Yeah, my MTD 535 has one:

I think what they mean is that wenge and maple will expand and contract (due to temperature and humidity) at different rates. When one side of a neck expands more than the other, the neck is more likely to warp. The same can be true for any two different woods, if they expand and contract differently. For this reason, a neck with matching fretboard is less likely to warp.
Whew I was wondering why that sei and mtd basses necks were so warped:D To bad for Warmoth.

no, they say there's a problem with the humidity absorption of some other BS. I wasn't happy about that but as it was a toss up between a maple fingerboard and a wenge fingerboard I wasn't heartbroken. a maple board would have looked nice tho.

That means they don't properly seal their necks.

We never have issues with our wenge/maple/wenge necks, no matter which fingerboard is on it.

I've personally got two of them, and since they were initially set up, they haven't been touched. Haven't moved at all.

I SO want a Roscoe, but the funds are tight. Freakin Bass Emporium has a couple and it's like bass pr0n!
