For sure, but where's the fun in that? Having four Velde's is cooler than some Hipshots or Gotohs, even if it's not the most efficient way to do it.

Oh I'm not worried about it per se, I just have a bit of OCD and would prefer that they all match. :)

Selling my '96 Peavey Forum 4-string bass. First things first...I bought this sight unseen and when I received it, something felt off. I took it to my luthier, and we discovered that the factory preamp had been removed by a previous owner. So, we cleaned up the wiring, and the bass is now...

Yeah, the last owner had pulled out all of the active electronics but left the third knob. Was an interesting surprise. My luthier cleaned up the wiring and we removed the unused knob, so now it's wired similar to a p-bass, volume/tone.

The body and neck are supposedly from two different basses, I believe the body is from a newer (~2015) Squier. So...alder?

Picked up a new (to me) bass. Newer Squier body, supposedly Seymour Duncan P-pickups and a Fender '55 noiseless Jazz pickup. Fender Squier series MIK neck. Aftermarket bridge. The bass feels really, really lightweight to me, so I'll have to weigh her. I've always wanted to try a P/J. This one...
