The best sounding rig I ever played thru was an SVT tube head on top of an 8 x 10 cab (also Ampeg). Would have (and still do!) loved to buy an identical setup, but couldn't/can't justify the overkill, as my gig venues aren't that big. Also, I'm 63 yrs. old and cant afford a muscle-bound roadie!

My first bass was a cheap Kingston bought in 1966. After graduating to higher end Fenders, I gave it to a kid who asked me if I would sell it to him. You would have thought I gave him a bag of gold from his reaction.
