YES! Major +1 on the fretless as an afterthought! That's always been a problem I've had with several companies. When I play most fretless basses the just feel like unfinished fretted ones. The Roscoe sounds great, but the 3800 dollar pricetag says "nope!" As for the carvin, I've never tried one...

Im definitely interested in the Icon5 from Carvin. I am really considering buying a fretless one with the piezo pickups. Has anyone played one? Resale is not an issue, im looking for a solid bass that will last and, more importantly that i will enjoy.

I must say i really don't like the look of the bongos and i dont think i would buy one but the sound and playability on them is fantastic!
