I guess that’s contributing to my confusion, as I’ve seen multiple comments including yours discussing to “dedicate one (tube) to one output, or let one tube drive two outputs”, but in reply to my previous comment Sushi noted that he was “not sure what you mean by "dedicated" tube.”

Probably just my ignorance on how these things work. I had read that the Nobelium had a tube on both the 1/4” side and the xlr side and I guess I had it in my head that this meant it was mirrored design where one side fed the 1/4” and a near identical side fed the xlr. But if I’m understanding...

What is the effective difference between a dedicated tube for each output vs sharing a tube? Does it act like a dedicated tube when using only one output? If both outputs are in use, what is the downside/compromise?

Is the Neptunium worth having just in a 1/4” signal chain? Or is the magic solely in the XLR out?
