I assume different gain stages...Probably just my ignorance on how these things work. I had read that the Nobelium had a tube on both the 1/4” side and the xlr side and I guess I had it in my head that this meant it was mirrored design where one side fed the 1/4” and a near identical side fed the xlr.
But if I’m understanding correctly though that’s not the case at all. So the single tube is the heart of the preamp, and both outputs pass through it. So what’s the point of the nobelium’s 2nd tube then if the Neptunium can do everything with one?
Sorry just trying to gain a better understanding of how things work
And that results will differ slightly depending on whether you dedicate one to to one output, or let one tube drive two outputs.
