Could you please tell for what are push/pulls used for? I can`t trace complete scheme from picture. And please do you know was it originally passive or someone removed preamp out? Thanks.

Some time ago i bought 1991 Wal Mk1 fretless for really low price but with fretboard in really bad shape. It was played by previous owner for 15 years with roundwound strings and fretboard got devastated and now is totally unplayable in some positions. Now i have two options - to repair...

There is Wal Pro1 on ebay. 1700 USD. Not much.

There are two options. Wal no longer make pro`s so they can only convert your bass to mk series. Or you can try building preamp yourself but you`ll have hard time finding U406 Dual Fets for it - they are out of production for 25+ years.
