Epiphones? The only experience I had with Epiphone was their T-bird... and I could only get one muddy tone out of that thing. Plus, I couldn't play anything past the 14th fret, and the neck dove like crazy. It was a rental, so i couldn't change the strap buttons on it.

I think it's funny how some people are just naming basses with J pickups... it's not quite the same as a Jazz Bass.
