Opti-Grab? ANyone used one?

I have a Blackbird and it's pretty much useless (the handle not the bass). I guess you could use it to feed your cord through.

It's 'opti' for the eye, and 'grab' from where you grab it.

I am really entreaged by the Nikki Sixx Blackbird bass with its opti-grab. has anyone ever used one on their bass? He claims it is used to help move the bass around.
Great Idea!!!!put a handle on your bass, lord knows there's no place else to grab it from! yikes!

Basically, you're supposed to hook your pinky around it when you play pick-style near the bridge. It's supposed to help counterbalance the horrible design of the T-bird.
If you play fingerstyle at all, then it's useless. Also, if you play with a pick and NOT near the bridge, then it's useless.
Basically, it's useless.
