Are you Bi-Amping the Yamahas? I love mine, and missed out on getting a second one last year. Still on the hunt for a second one if it's a worthy upgrade.

I can't remember if I used the USA or Import, but if you are not drilling holes, then they are holding themselves tight by the 2 halves threading into one another. since 1/2" is 12.7mm, I'd imagine they are based off of a 12.5 or 13mm. so slightly tighter or looser. Looks like 5/8" vs. 11/16"...

+1 on the Lace Sensor Red and P-Bass wiring. Mine even has a push pull tone pot bypass and that pup sounds good even going straight to the amp...

I reseated the other ribbon cables when I changed the preamp tube, but i'll try this first (and also look for any mechanical issues on the internal end of the jack if I can see it) before trying Deoxit. Did you ever find out if there is another, more concerning root cause?

Yeah I agree. My tuners are pretty beat and there was really nothing for it, but after way too much research (and still waiting for Fender to email me back after I called) I have some Hipshot USA ultralights on order that I think will work. I will let the group know either way how it goes.
