Hey! Your Prophesy III is identical to mine :) I've never seen another natural neck through Proph.III that's great! Many guides do not have correct valuation for Prophesy III's, but I have several sources as well as my own, which I purchased brand new in 93 here's one: Link Removed

Fender Telecaster Bass Humbucker vs. Gibson Mudbucker.

I've just put the original Fender WRHB pickup back into a 73 tele-bass for a bloke I'm working for. whoa it is neat sounding, quite wide-open not much focus to the tone, but it sounds big and somewhat muddy doesn't overpower in the low end and has a bit of drivey growl in the low mids...

Radial Dragster: What does it really do?

I am looking for an output impedance control to put in front of a picky fuzz pedal, will this do the job? Is it basically a pickup simulator?

This is an interesting notion I agree that I NOW want the bass to go gutsy and it won't, but fender modifications are invariably a mistake unless you you keep it forever and ever. Even then when I die someone will think: "why did that no-talent ass-clown mod the beautiful purity of the...

Yeah man I would back this plan in that: you really do need your bass to be set up right for you. What's the sense in playing a bass that's not set up right because you're afraid it's too broken to set up properly? The wood may just be settled into your current position so comfortably that it...

Hmm... I had trouble tightening beyond a certain point and was able to fix it by loosening quite allot first, waiting a few days... then re-tightening, but I am no luthier. When you say frozen: Do you mean that it doesn't want to turn, even with a fair amount of torque? OR that turning it...

    R.I.P. Amy Winehouse

Saw her drinking allot of wine at the itunes festival; enough to kill a person if they drink that much wine all the time..

    Jack Bruce

Yeah I been tech-ing for him for the last little while. He's got new stuff daily, he's prolific. Back in cream he'd turn up at each practice with 30 new songs. Clapton would write one or two every few months. Cream is his main outlet, and it's all pretty solid as far as triumphant bad-assed...

First song you learned all the way through and how long did it take

Back in Time by Huey Lewis and the News! I still love playing that song... how long did it take?... well, less time than it took me to learn the millionaires waltz by queen. more time than Peter Gun by mancini

    Fender Jaguar

I have seen a few that growl very differently to a Jazz. in that old gibson way. you know? just an ugly growl couldn't clean it up though I tried. Some people love that dirt, some really don't.. plug it into a few different amps if you can and toy with tones to see what you can do.

Sansamp BDDI newbie needs help with live sound!

yeah many cheap small shyte monitors don't reproduce the bass frequencies AT ALL, many of course DO. I'm sure it wasn't a routing problem, and it certainly isn't a Sansamp problem. If you want to be assured of a nice stage monitor for bass.. bring one with you, call it a bass amp, or bring a...

Is it a good thing to like fret buzz?

I remember the first time after a gig some dude I didn't know approached me afterwards to compliment my playing but he also had a criticism he said you have allot of string noise and fret buzz. I thought about it and worried that maybe it was just me that thought my sounds were cool. That was in...

    Help ref: Sansamp RBI

Yes You will do well with the RBI or Sansamp BDDI which I use simulates the SVT beautifully. Remember to go in that effects return to bypass any coloration the poweramp may try to give it. man oh man you will be impressed I was always satisfied with my dry tone until I tried the simplicity of...
