    New Fender Dimension

Oh, just the fact some would say I ruined the resale value with the Moses neck. I bought one new in 1972 while in HS, Paid $313 (sold in 1975). This was practically a gift in 1998 from an elderly couple I worked with at a low income senior kitchen in Lawrence, KS. It's not important anymore to...

    New Fender Dimension

Question is this my first HH bass? If my Fender Roscoe Beck V bought in 1997 and sold 8 years later is HH than no. Here is the Precision, serial # says 1969, original neck was 1973. It fits my needs in Pit Orchestras. Used in Shrek last year.

    New Fender Dimension

Thought I would show off my new bass, different. Criticism's welcome. I don't mind. Never post here but am doing so today. Mainly because my previously posted modified Fender Precision kinda embarrasses me (I use it in shows). That's my Squier next to it.

    Been away

Hi Oren, SUNN gear is good but physically big. Used to have a smaller Fender RAD bass combo that was built in the SUNN factory. Gave to a guitar tech friend. I strongly discourage anyone modifying an older Fender, this one is my personal frankenbass that appeals to me but not others.

    Been away

A few years ago I watched the threads here, this is my sunroom with my 1969 Fender Precision, moses neck, badass bridge and hot aguilar pickups. Also a fender modern jazz 5 string made in the same factory as Squier's. I just bought a new set of D'Addario flexsteel strings for the modern jazz...

    New Zoom B3

Here is more, because... My 1969 Precision with Moses neck and Badass bridge, why? Because... And, the Kustom Charger combo minus an amp, instead powered by my Baby Blue II modified to look like a Walter Woods. Just finished listening to a vinyl record (and playing with) Herbert von...

    New Zoom B3

Thank you for the reply, I assumed after I posted I would get negative vibes when I realized there was already a B3 thread. I'll look at your info, here is my updated photo with my SWR Workingmans 12 substituted for the Model 126. I bought the WM12 new from Mars Music in Johnson County Kansas...

    New Zoom B3

Hello, Just purchased this Zoom B3 and it works nicer than my Roland Micro Cube Bass as a stereo preamp. My issue with most stereo setups is background noise, in this instance I have my SWR Baby Blue II head and Acoustic Control Model 126 Combo. The SWR has always introduced a hum into the...

Anyone using Roland Micro Cube as a Preamp?

The RX Cube that uses battery's is good for stereo sound into my SWR WM12 and WM15. There is no background noise and the controls are simple to use. Just thought I would mention it. Some other guy took the RX cube apart and just uses the amp portion for a pre into power amps. This is all used...

    Squier Precision 5 Pro Tone

Yes, it's 19mm string spacing at the bridge. Same as my Yamaha TRB5 from 1997. The Protone is an excellent replacement for my Fender Roscoe Beck 5 I sold years ago. Same beefy neck also. I read but can not confirm that Mighty Mite Precision 5 bass necks are an exact replacment for the protone I...

    Squier Precision 5 Pro Tone

Thought I would share this...was in GC here in Madison the other day exchanging a Monster Cable under warranty and saw this for $139.99. Hardly a scratch and needed only new strings and neck adjustment. Body is made of ash wood. This is a nice bass, a real nice bass. As some of TB'rs might...

    SWR Workingman's Bias control tip

I would like to help out all SWR Workingman's 12 and 15 combo owners with a tech tip. I own both models and noticed my 15 was running way too hot compared to my WM12. After looking around the web I found that there is an internal bias trim pot to balance some transistors. After a visit to...

    Worlds cutest rig.

Here is my rig I am taking to the New Horizon's jazz band camp in Door County, WI. Can not get away from my stereo chorus! SWR Baby Blue II head and SWR WM10 combo connected with my Boss GT-6B floor effect pedal. I use a nady hum eliminator to quiet the signal path.
