I consider 130 medium-light. Like I said, I have D'addario EXL 135 on the B and it feels floppy. I did not see any thicker than that from D'Addario when I looked a couple months ago but I will look again

Just that. Why is it so hard to find roundwound options for 5-string bass with the Low B's? If you're playing a string tuned so low, it usually sounds less defined, so why would you want to use flatwounds for this which should effectively make it even less defined? Wouldn't having a roundwound...

People, I did not say the untuning itself was the problem. Obviously a guitar detunes in shipping. The fact that it was specifcally tuned to something other than standard (and a significant degree on one string) is what makes me think it was set up with that tuning in mind. It being out of tune...

Does anyone know of a case specifically from Sweetwater that would hold a 5-string Sire V5 super snugly? So many cases I've used for other guitars have a bit of wiggle room inside the case. I'm buying a V5 from Sweetwater and I feel like the base would actually be safer in tight styrofoam...

Am I wrong? I feel like having a tight styrofoam mold around the guitar would actually be safer in shipping than it being in a guitar case since guitar cases general have a little bit more wiggle room (and maybe isn't as soft/cushiony styrofoam)?

So has anyone ever heard this yet? I want the low end clean-sounding weight of a Jazz bass but the character of a Precision bass. I generally prefer neck-oriented bass sounds and I think the bridge pups of Jazz basses are too bright for my taste, whereas the playing I've heard from Precisions...
