I wish I could help but I have no knowledge of what you are asking. I just thought I'd reply to waste everyone's time. Got to go now and reply to all those other posts that I know nothing about!

Started lessons at 13 yrs old in 1963 on a 12 lb Kent bass through a 50 watt no name tube amp. Played garage bands and parties for 2 years than hotrods, girls and surfing took over! Congrats to all us baby boomers!!

Late Saturday afternoon I was on my way home coming from Island Dragway in Hacketstown, NJ cruising east on Rt 46 in my 63 Stingray. WNEW in NYC was the progressive rock station at the time. In between songs they kept announcing to not go to Woodstock as it was in complete chaos!

The first picture shows a string removed. The second picture shows the broken piece with all 5 strings now in place. Did he add the fifth string after breaking the truss rod??

So youve gotten use to it and play it at better gigs! If thats the case maybe you should think about how much income that bass has provided you with and not so much its retail value. Just saying.
