Hey guys, I got a MIM GL jazz bass 2 years ago, and I am constantly dealing with the neck and adjusting the truss rod to fix the relief (reducing the action or height of the strings). I assumed it was just a summer problem due to high humidity where I live, but now it's the middle of the winter...

I use a Shiftline Olympic for this, with headphones and my phone plugged into it. It’s got a tube, amp simulation, and sounds killer — all my wife hears is the light clickity-clack haha

I play my active Stingray all the time, jam weekly, and gig monthly. I've changed out the batteries twice in 3 years. It's really not worth stressing about. Just keep a spare in your gig bag, you'll be fine.

I do this all the time! My Shiftline Olympic preamp is the last pedal in my chain and I run it into the return on my GK1001 and it sounds amazing. The only trick is that you have to control the volume of your rig via the master on the pedal, which means bending down to make adjustments mid-set...

@Fuzzy Dustmite is the man. His covers are spot on, his song choices are excellent, and he gets the best Karl Alvarez-type tones. So good!

Here's my experience with this. When I play my Stingray, it feels amazing and I don't ever think about the spacing. Then when I switch to my Geddy Lee jazz bass, the extra tight string spacing feels like a guitar or something, and I can't stand it. 5 minutes of playing later, that jazz bass...
