I may try the circle k strings just cause I can get them a lot cheaper. I'm going to order some soon hopefully. Life is taking over right now and bass has been on the back burner for a while. I have a feeling I'll be much more inclined to play in my free time once I get the right strings.

Project that I finally got finished. Fender Jazz V turned fanned fret.

Unfortunately it doesn't. I think I need to order a set of dingwall strings.

Big Update!!!!!! She's all the way together now! I am going to have to order some dingwall strings though. I tried a d'addario super long set and the B is a tad too short. All of the other strings fit well though. Here's some shots of her all put together.

The neck has arrived and I should be able to assemble it all (minus strings) tonight when I get off of work. I'll update with some pics when it is all together.

I had thought about doing that, but the intonation screws don't have much play, so I should be good.

Here's the assembled bridge plate. I'm going to have to widen some holes tomorrow and shorten the plate some. It was hitting the bridge pickup.

Here's a long overdue update. I finally got some free time on the mill at work today to work on the bridge. I ended up opting for a plate bridge design for simplicity. This cut out a lot of machine time and may end up looking more like a stock fender piece. I'm going to reuse the saddles from...

Where did you get the case for the cirrus? I've been searching for a molded case for mine and haven't had any luck.

Sorry for the lull in activity guys, Geoff is away right now, but in our last communication it was practically done. I'm still trying to come up with some free time to work on the bridge. Been busy at work and haven't had free time to work on personal projects.

No problem! I may be using my schecter as a main bass more and trying to figure out what I wanna try on it. Has anyone tried chromes? I have a set on my precision and love em, just don't know how they would sound on it. I love a precision tone BTW.

Hopefully this will stir up some conversation. For those who have the stiletto extreme, what strings are you using? What sound do they give you?
