Word of advice: If you see an article or video where the headline or title is a question (ie: "Was G&L Leo Fender's BIGGEST MISTAKE?"), the answer given in the article or video is pretty much always "no". I hope this saves you all a few clicks in the future :)

They really ought to do an "all sales are final" thing on the Stupid Deals of the Day. Otherwise they're just gonna get a bunch of tire-kickers.

"Fender Custom Shop" is a brand. They offer what they offer. Similar to how the brand "Custom Ink" will not give me a tattoo or print my logo on my bass, despite both of those requests being custom and involving ink.

Just hit the "Decline" button and move on. Or just ignore it for 24 hours and it will go away. Don't let it get to you.

The pic in the OP looks like a Fender P Bass Lyte. MIJ, active electronics, smaller body size than a standard P Bass, 4 knobs with "F" caps. I had one for exactly 1 practice and 1 show. Left my cable plugged in after practice, killed the battery, and had to scramble to find a new battery while...
