Dear Talk Bass community, At what intervals do players typically place pearl inlays in the fingerboard? Is there a standard? Is it the same or similar to what a guitar would have? I am just curious. Also open to suggestions of where to put them. Chris

I have been trying to practice recently and have been feeling kind of burnt out, unhappy with my sound, blaming external factors, and just overall frustrated. Does anyone have experience with this who can give me some advice? Many thanks -C

For the record, I ordered a cake of pirastro "soft" bass rosin. It was as hard as a rock and is quite possibly useless in the orchestra. =) Anyone have this experience?

I would like to see it out of curiosity more than anything. I know there are some bowing discrepancies between the Hofmeister and Levinson editions. I sure would love to get a hold of the manuscript ...probably in Prague somewhere...
