I have a question for fellow Hagstrom HB-8 II owners. Have any of you moved the front strap button? It’s in a horrible location - I think it would cause a lot of finish wear on the back of the upper horn, and for me it makes the bass hang weirdly. Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions...

Probably not, but I’m in cybersecurity. I’m paid to be paranoid even when there’s no reason to be.

I also forgot to mention that I applied copper shielding to the body cavities. Greatly cut down on noise.

This is a before-and-after of the mods I made to my 4003 last month. I swapped the original pickups for Joe Barden Engineering JBE-4000s, replaced the bridge pickup cover with a treble bezel, and swapped the original bridge for a Badass. I have to say, I always loved the way the bass...

This is my Hagstrom HB-8 II. It was a bit of an impulse buy, and I don’t play it as often as I play my other basses, but it’s still cool.
