Oh that is not a good gauge of a pickup. I assure you not all my stuff is pretty by any means. Sometimes people have even made comments of such, and I have to remind them that the visual appearance has little to no effect on its tone. It is something I struggle with creating as much 1 off...

Was doing some more horsing around in the shop today to see if I could make matching tops for installs with pickguards. This proof was done in Tortoiseshell. Looks like it will asll work out fine.

Please excuse the obviously stupid question, but are you sure it is the pickup that is the problem. The fact that it is epoxied says it is not the pickup that is microphonic, but rather the mounting of the pickup. Invalid Link Removed I assume you tried wiring the pickup directly to the jack to...
