    Ampeg SVT Cabs

Well thanks for the input, guys. I guess I'll go with my gut and be a little patient for another 410.

    Ampeg SVT Cabs

Hey, folks. I'm in the process of building my SVT rig I've been wanting for the last 20 years. It's time. I have a 410HE cab and was planning to get another to go with the SVT-CL head I want to buy soon. On a little bit of a budget, so I've been keeping my open for nice used ones. I...

    ampeg svt15E

That's right. I wasn't thinking about that. Thanks!

    ampeg svt15E

Well, that is something. I'm thinking maybe getting a second 410 now, or maybe even staying with what I've got. Volume isn't really a problem in my practice space. Would pairing my 410he with a 410hlf be a bad choice as well and would this have any advantages, or should I stick with the same...

    ampeg svt15E

Thanks for the reply. That's interesting and valuable info. I guess I didn't know that playing with differen speaker combos could be a disadvantage. I was looking to add a little low end thump to my rig. So, would I gain anything from adding a second 410?

    ampeg svt15E

Hi all. I have a question on the above mentioned cabinet. First off, I'm running an Ampeg SVT3PRO with an SVT410HE cab. I would like to add an SVT15E, but I'm unclear on it's power handling. The 410he is rated at 500 watts rms, the 15e only 200. Can I use this with the svt3pro even though it...

Fender P-Bass with Maple Body and Maple Neck - a good idea!?

Forgive the thread hijack, but I'm in the middle if planning a telecaster (Asat) build and was planning to use alder or ash but was thinking of maple just recently. I am most curious about tone. It sounds like the general consensus is more growl which is what I'm looking for. How about low end...

    tele bass build

Thank you for the replies. How would one scale up an image to the proper size? I honestly wouldn't know what the proper size would be. I'm pretty novice at this, with the exception of a jazz bass I piece built with much help from a friend. I would definitely be interested in the help!

    tele bass build

Hi all. I am wanting to build a telecaster style bass. The actual telecaster style body, not the precision telecaster, mind you. Think G&L Asat. I was wondering if anyone could help me find a set of plans or drawing off the body. I can't seem to come up with anything. Thanks!

    tele (Asat) build

So, I am planning to piece build a telecaster bass, inspired by the g&l Asat. I am going to use a Warmoth custom T body and Tele neck. As for the electronics, I would like to use Seymour Duncan smb4a's in both neck and bridge positions. What I'm unsure of is the preamp. The Duncan preamps paired...

    Ampeg SVT 3-PRO question

That's good news, guys. Thanks for the replies.

    Ampeg SVT 3-PRO question

I just bought a used SVT 3-PRO along with a SVT 410HE cab. Always wanted an SVT and love the sound. However, when I power the amp on, it takes 15 to 20 seconds to warm up, and right before I get signal, there's an audible click sound from the head. After that everything works fine. I've read...

    Blend pot difficulty

It turns out that both of my pickups are indeed active. I checked the blend pot with my multi meter and it was mirror image of the schematic you provided. I switched the hot and ground wires and it works great! Thanks for all the help!

    Blend pot difficulty

Well now that changes everything. I guess I am now questioning exactly what pickups I have then. I'll need to pull the neck pickup to identify whether it is active or not, but Seymour Duncan's website tells me that the humbucker I have in the bridge is a high output pickup, but does that mean...

    Blend pot difficulty

I see it is confusing the way I worded the first post. I am running both pickups with an Aguilar OBP-3 preamp, so both pickups are active.
