    Are two basses REALLY needed to bring to gigs?

    I would never think of doing a gig or session withouth bringing at least one back up bass. Not only does it protect you from a freak gear gremlin, on more then one ocassion another bassist has shown up to one of my gigs and wanted to jam with me. Those are some of my favorite memories!
