True. But with Nash there are already several deviations from a vintage Fender (slightly different headstock shape, Nash logo, DiMarzio Model J pickups in some, etc). I don't think some shielding paint would shatter any illusions. Heck, real vintage Fenders at least had metal shielding plates...

You're right! Completely forgot about that. Babbitt is also excellent. A couple of rock Gods strongly influenced by Jamerson: Robert DeLeo and John Paul Jones.

Not bad! One thing I suggest is to master walking before trying to run. Jamerson's parts are VERY busy with lots of 16th notes, ghost notes, etc. You should first master your timing before really tackling something like this. Your number one job as a bassist is locking in with the drums and...

That doesn't help those who are considering buying a Nash and have never tried one. Sounds like the OP is in that position.

Forgot to mention, also very unrealistic aging, IMO. If you are familiar with real vintage instruments the Nash stuff just screams phony.

Had a Nash. Was disappointed in the quality. Poor attention to detail. No shielding, mediocre fretwork, different pickguard shape vs real Fender, bridge mounted weirdly high (north) on the body. Look at the photos to see that for yourself.
