How's my jazz playing?

Hey gang, finally getting into learning jazz. Here's what I came up for Autumn Leaves:

Nice work! Like what you did there: fluid and tasteful. My only suggestion is to maybe differentiate the B section a bit more … at present it’s feel is the same as the A’s. The B always feels like an opportunity to shift into a slightly more “aggressive” gear to me so I punch this section along a bit and then go back to lazy, drifting in the A’s. Of course that’s only one way to look at the B and probably not supported by the lyrics come to to think of it(!) but if the song is taken purely as an instrumental piece it kinda works to my mind. Of course it’s all ultimately personal interpretation … just offering a different take you may want to experiment with.

PS: The attached book by Jim Stinnett contains nothing but walking lines for Autumn Leaves (around fifty of them from memory!) and is a terrific resource.

OP, my sincere apologies. As you can see from my post above I was thinking the whole time about Rhythm Changes not Autumn Leaves!!! . Sorry man, too early in the morning for this tired ol’ brain to be working properly! Anyway, if you decide to move on to Rhythm Changes next, get that book! . All the best.

Sounds nice!

Something to consider: Note length. The 4 in the bar is often a bit short in comparison to the other notes. Sounds a bit broken up for that reason to me. Try to think of longer phrases? It feels like the 4 may be shorter as you feel that that phrase is finished? Anyhow I feel that small change would lead to a big improvement to an already solid foundation.

1st.. I have ZERO business discussing/Critiquing anything "Jazz".

That said, it makes me think of Snoopy doing/making/prepping something that's sure to turn out hilarious. So, that seems good.
