Hi, my name is Dan an I made a guitar of wenge and padouk. I think the best way is fill the pores with slur. Use linseed oil till 400 and In the final stage you can use a thiner oil like mandeln(sorry I don't know the english term). After that you can put some truoil.

You can use sweet almonds oil, is very god for fretboard. But don't expect to act like dye.
