Anyone build just a neck for someone

I would like to build my next freless bass ( tele body with neck thru design). I only have basic tools and no way of planing the neck to insure its straight before gluing the fret board down. Is there anyone who could recommend someone who would build the neck only, I could make and glue the sides myself.

Yes, I can do it. I make neckthrough basses. I can post some pictures.

Your best bet is to find someone locally to do this for you. It will need to be fitted.

Yeah as mentioned you can buy a neck through neck from carvin. Then just cut the center of the body out with a decent saw and glue the wings to each side of the neck. I've been considering building a doubleneck that way. As it would be easier for me and my limited tool supply. I would probably add a thin top and back though for added strength

You could buy from carvin and defret if that's what your into.

I can make one from wenge, european ash and merbau, and I have ebony for fretboard. It depens on what you want. I'm located in Bucharest , Romania. If you want some pictures I can send it by mail.

Your right, I've never seen that before.
Not that I'm looking but 15 years ago oh well.

If planing for the fingerboard is a problem, how are you going to plane the wings to join the neck beam? They won't come with a glue-able edge when you buy them.
