This is my teenage daughter's bass

I am always directly over the neck pickup. I use the neck pickup as my "thumb rest". It just feels more comfortable and natural to me. My 2 pickups are wired in series. I only ever play directly over the neck pickup.

@BlueTalon I just spent 3000 euros to have this custom built. I am not changing anything.

The 2 pickups are wired in series. The 2 knobs are a volume and a tone. I will almost exclusively play directly over the neck pickup as that is just my style. I really think these 2 pickups wired in series will give me the tone I am after.
