Nope, only the neck was destroyed. He later got a 1970 Neck and he still owns it to this day.

I’ve experimented, I suspect like most of us, he changed the setting depending on the song.

The Stingray first appeared in July 1985. And the P Bass was using into late 1986. So it looks like both were used at different points.

Maybe, I would have to check when it was recorded. He could have brought the P Bass in for the session.

I think a Schecter Mirror Pickguard was put on it as well. Probably around the time it was refinished Blue.
