    Traben 35" scale = 34.25"...huh?

Ah your Traben was the same scale? At least I know I didnt get a dodgy bass! Very cheeky of Traben though, if it says 35" then it damn well should be! I know 35" isnt as much of a big deal as a lot of people make out, but I think when youre down-tuning then it does start to make a big...

Thats why I measured to the 12th fret too, and it was something like 17.1". Is this a Traben thing, or did I just get a one-off weird scale bass?

The low B is ok as a B, but I like to drop it to G# if possible, and thats not happening as well as Id like even with a .145. Im gonna keep playing it, but Id just like to know what's going on with this Traben! Your 35" Peavey is actually a full 35" from nut to saddle, right?

    Traben 35" scale = 34.25"...huh?

Hi guys, I bought a Traben John Moyer 5 a few months ago (the Standard model, not the Havoc). The whole reason that I bought it is because its a 35" scale; I play in some low tunings but was on an equally low budget, so I wanted the cheapest 35" scale bass that I could find, which turned out...

Yeah its definitely a standard, the Havoc only comes in 'Black Vapor' (figured maple top). Looks like some of them have the 5-way switch, and perhaps some older models (i.e. Bedrockhead's standard) had a 3-way switch....? That would be my guess. Yay for having a number! :D

Er, nope, its definitely the John Moyer that I have! Observe: [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]

Ah ok, I was going on this post from Bedrockhead: Looks like he added a couple of mini-switches to have coil-taps on his one (back on page 44), did they ever make a different version of this then? I saw some sites said that the standard has a 3-way switch, others said 5-way switch. Not that...

Hi everyone! Ive been lurking here for a while to research what bass to buy, and decided on a Traben John Moyer Standard 5. I had a slight panic moment when I saw they'd disappeared off the Traben site, and Im still in the process of working out exactly what's going on with the whole BC Rich...
