Well, I've been told that Cort serial numbers typically start with the year of manufacture. For my Cort built Laguna and my A4 this checks out ('07 and '20 respectively). Using that formula that would make yours from 1970 which seems suspicious but that's all I can add.

The A series are "neck through", B series bolt on necks. Neck throughs are suppose to have a bit more sustain and depth. Maybe that is the difference.

I should have said virtually identical. The body contouring is different as well. The overall shape is the same but the Ocean is beveled while the A4 is rounded. I guess what I was really trying to express is that in a blindfold test I’d be hard pressed to tell the difference.
