Ah ok...any suggestions to look into for a G that meshes well with this set?

Thanks for your video...I've been thinking of getting an olive G to put on with the Corelli 370 M set I bought...I've got old Corelli's on my bass right now, but kinda wanting to try something different for the G string with my next string change.

Are there really that many upright bass players playing through delays, wahs and other effects besides overdrives or things of that nature...? If so, I guess I just haven't run across many of them. I do think you can over-use the effects, and start doing it just for the sake of effects and not...

As someone who got a re-hair a few months ago, I can say now that I've tried white hair, and before that I had black hair on my bow. I've learned by this process, white hair does seem to be a bit smoother sound, but doesn't grab quite as well as black. It seems easier to do short, choppy type...

Anybody listen to this guy? He uses a bunch of effects in this clip, something I don't see many bassists do...he pulls some cool stuff out of it.

That's a cool idea to have a foot switch for the pickup, arco does sound much better miked than pickup-ed. Thanks for sharing!

He seems to be going through some sort of effect, or maybe they just did some effect from the board, but that run he does right at 2:18 on New York City, that's really the spot I hear something like an overdrive coming through a bit. It's subtle though...it's not like he's hitting a wah pedal or...

This is another cool project he did a few yrs back with Jordan Tice, called the Secret History. He has some really nice bass work, and the arrangements are great. Invalid Link Removed

It's not anything major, but if you listen to the 2:08 area of the song, there is definitely some sort of light overdrive or something, giving a little more sustain (may not be noticeable without headphones)

He is pretty subtle with them. At the show I really didn't even see him engage any pedals while playing, that I can remember...I know he's using a tuner between songs sometimes. If you listen on the Who's Feeling Young Now? album it sounds like he's using some sort of sustain effect at times...

He definitely plays with some effects now...but there's no info on his site about them.
