The PDF provided on this site does not require soldering- it just requires plugs. Can I assume the wiring is the same for an emg preamp that looks like the picture provided above by the other lad?

To be completely honest, I was under the impression my bass was fully passive until I recently saw a 9volt in there. All of the knobs on my bass are turned up fully besides my low frequency knob that seems to scoop out a lot of the glassier mid frequencies. I am not using an EQ or Gain settings...

Hmm. Okay. I am quite sure I did that and even at super low master volume and the gain up a bit higher, my low notes would cause my amp to "shut off". I will go back and try it again just in case my master was higher than it needed to be. Thank you.

The gain was already incredibly low and the master volume was at a solid half way. If I turned the gain down much more I wouldn't have any sound at all.

I am using a shector diamond series elite-4 and the only pedal I have is an older line 6 xt live pod but I only use that for the volume pedal, tuner, gate when needed, and a compressor.

I do not really have room for another 410 in the practice space, nor the funds to supply for the cost of one. Why couldn't this also be solved with a head of less power?
